Opening and Closing of the Library

Students are welcome to use the Library from Sunday to Thursday.
From 8:00 AM until 2:50 PM.
Students are asked to leave the library 5 minutes before closing.

Recently NIS library added a new service called QR Code. You can use Smart Library Catalog from any smartphone by reading the Library QR Code. To read QR Codes, you need a handheld device with a camera, web browser, and QR Code reader software (App) from Google Play & App Store, e.g.

Scan QR code

Click on the link that appears at the top.

Access the library catalog.

All results are automatically saved in QR Code reader History for quick retrieval.

What happens if I return a book late?

Items borrowed from the library that are returned after the due date are subject to charges. A 10 LE fee will be applied for each day late. A notification email will be sent to the School principal.

How can I access my library account online?

From the library website, click on “My NIS Library account” logo and access with your IE credentials, from the homepage, click on “Search NIS Libraries”

How are the printed books organized in the library?

Books are arranged on shelves according to Dewey decimal classification scheme (DDCS) that divides human knowledge into ten major sections to make it easy for the readers.
